Well there u have it folks. With all your services reduced your bills still went up. While Christie and his millionaire buddies cut the budget to the bare bones and give 100's of millions to business's, who by the way have banked the most money in 60 years, the middle class slobs and poor people get it in the wazoo. Take one town by me, Brick, 44 % of the workforce is getting laid off and that's only to keep property taxes to a 2% rise. Well this is Christie's version of "SHARED SACRIFICE". And I thought Corzine was an idiot.

LOL here we go again with jerseyman spewing out random numbers with no links to back it up.

To put things in perspective in the last 8 yrs under Democratic controlled Legislature and governors like Corzine, property taxes have been raised 56.2%. Or an average of 7% each year.

Average N.J. property taxes in 2010 jump more than 4 percent from previous year | NJ.com

I applaud Christie for actually slowing down the percentage increase of property taxes. Any smart person knows that property taxes were not going to be immediately stopped without major reforms going on.

Ok, here's the truth.

" said property taxes “soared” while Democrats controlled Trenton. Property taxes rose 56.2 percent during the eight years of Democratic governors prior to Christie, the figures show"

“And let’s remember, our budget cap did not go into effect until January of this year and the Legislature, still under Democratic control, has acted on only five of the 20 took kit bills,” Drewniak said.

Well let's see first I am a republican. Second you can twist #s any way u want. Let me do it. Property taxes went up less under Corzine in 2008 and 2009, see that's easy. Third, last week NJ EDC gave Citibank millions in credit to come here. Like the 45 Billion in Tarp money wasn't enuf.Fourth over 100 million to Panasonic to move about 5 miles to Newark. While the middle class and poor get creamed in property taxes they give business's millions. Got to luv them repubs.

You really have a hard concept with the tax breaks being given. If Citibank didn't come here they would have contributed zero taxes. So it would have had zero impact on anything. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Now let's say the tax breaks are given and they move here. And for sake of argument let's say they contribute absolutely nothing in taxes. Guess what the impact is? Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

But we know the reality is that even if the company itself pays no taxes it will create jobs. That could get people off of unemployment. It creates income taxes. Guess what the impact is?

So we reward Citibank who almost put us into the abyss after they were rewarded with 45 billion in tarp money. I have a problem with that. Why don't they reward the struggling seniors and middle class. Oh they are common folk.

I just simply don't understand why you are so against tax-cut. Tax-cut is good for anyway. Regardless if it go to business or individual. At least they put in good use or their self interest.

Tax is a counter productive tools. Regardless who is tax, the tax money is not put into good use. Unlike business, the government does not need to make a profit. They don't have to balance their book like the private sector. They just spend, and when they over spend, they just tax more. They will brain wash people thinking it is the rich/business that doesn't pay their fair share. They said the rich is not spending enough. According to the government SAVINGS IS EVIL
