Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has any input as to the fastest (or best) way to get from North-Central Jersey (I come from Basking Ridge, which is near Morristown) to the financial district, more specifically the part of State Street which is right next to Whitehall Station and South Ferry. I just got an internship there and while I've been to the city alot, I really don't know this area very well and neither does my family, so I appreciate any help you guys have. I will probably be working from around 9 to around 6. Thanks.

It's way downtown, so your best bet is probably the train from Morristown to Hoboken, and then PATH to the World Trade Center. You then have about five - ten minute walk.

You can take the NJ Transit train from Basking Ridge (or Far Hills, Bernardsville, or Lyons, if those are closer to where you live in Basking Ridge), and then the PATH from Newark to the WTC. That will also save you some money, as I believe the ticket to Hoboken is at least $100 more per month than the ticket to Newark.

Wrong Newark; the Gladstone branch goes to Newark Broad, and the PATH goes from Newark Penn. You can take light rail between the two, but IMO it's better to avoid adding the step.

Probably the train to Hoboken, then the PATH to WTC is best. There's also a ferry from Hoboken to Wall Street which is more expensive than the PATH. I've never taken it but I imagine it is less unpleasant than the PATH.

1. Take a Gladstone train form Basking Ridge to Hoboken (takes about 50-60mins and costs : 14.00$ one way , off peak round trip : 10.00$ > Monthly pass is 400$
2. Switch to the World Trade Center PATH line (costs : 1.75$ and takes 10mins > 50$ a month)
2. Walk East along Vesey Street > onto Ann Street for 3 blocks then turn onto Nassau Street for 8 blocks (small blocks)

You're just enjoying these multi-color directions way too much.

Ugh, just be prepared for the WTC PATH line during rush hour. I'm so glad that I don't take that anymore. It's super crowded.
