I noticed that in my backyard there has been some sort of animal poop. I cannot determine if it is a dog or a cat or a fox or small human I am not sure if there is anyone who has experienced this thankfully it is only on 1 tree and it is off to the corner but my concern is that it will spread and how to deter it from using my tree as it's bathroom

Doesn't look like human or cat, or really dog for that matter. My guess would be fox or coyote.

I'm not a poop expert, but after looking at a couple website it looks like it belongs to a coyote.

Fox scat looks more dog-like and you can usually see small bones and seeds in it.
