I actually think the indoor slope is a neat idea and chances are it will be hugely popular. The other attractions are already available in the state, but I think this will draw in a lot of people just to see it. This is basically Mall of America in NJ, in fact the developer is the same group that owns/runs Mall of America.
This will be like Sonic , popular for the first 8 months then barely used.....at least move it to a city.
I don't think so. The group that is doing this, owns Mall of America in Minnesota and the West Edmonton Mall in Canada. Neither one is located in a city as they simply wouldn't fit. Mall of America generates visitor traffic of about 40 million people a year and it's in Minnesota.
This group knows what they are doing and the simple fact is that while residents may not use it all the time, it will be a massive tourist destination in an area that is already rife with tourists.
That indoor beach/pool thing is tacky. The indoor ski slope...tacky. This will attract so many trashy people (from both NY and NJ), seriously.
I take it you can only be bothered with water parks that serve foie gras & afternoon tea. It's a waterpark.............. Don't recall ever seeing/hearing about a "classy" waterpark.
Actually its not a wasteful train , it carries 7-9,000 people.....which is good by Sport train standards... I also disagree with the whole article , its poorly written and they need to get there facts right , the train does not pass any Abandoned factories or Warehouses....and the Mudflats are protected Marsh which depend on the Tides looks pretty.....
This is good for the state. 9,000 jobs created. We need jobs. Traffic, thats another issue. Theres always traffic in that area. I should get a big boost when the super bowl rolls into town.

IMO there are far too many area "attractions" for this place to generate many repeat customers. All the people who stay in the Meadowlands hotels from Europe are there to go to NYC, not a big mall. Traffic will be a nightmare as it is already in the Meadowland area. Total boondoggle
