We're getting ready to relocate to Burlington County for my husbands work. I'm only halfway familiar with the Cherry Hill area relating to shopping - outside of that, I'm clueless.

We have a young son who will be entering the school system at the kindergarten level.

So far in my research, it seems the Mount Laurel is our best bet for a nice family orientated neighborhood with good schools - but I'm also seeing some lovely homes in the $350k range in WestHampton, Burlington and Hainsport...

Can anyone tell me anything about those neighborhoods (good & bad) and the school systems they attend? Hainesport I heard can be iffy - is that still true? I've not heard anything at all about Westhapton - so I'm very interested in getting any info on it!

What neighborhoods near that area am I missing that would be a good fit for us?
Thanks so much in advance!

If you look up towards the top, there is a separate forum for NJ Suburbs of Philadelphia. You should try to post this there, you will get more answers I think. Good luck with your move!

Default Lots of choices

The list you've started is a good one. Medford and Evesham (Marlton) are good as well. I have sent you a private message.

Best Bet - Mt. Laurel, Marlton, Medford, Moorestown. Stick with the Ms

I've lived in Mt. Laurel for 10 years. All four have good schools, and little, if any, bad neighborhoods (if you're looking in the $350k range, you won't have a problem). Biggest problem is burglaries during the day, because most of the people that live here are professionals who work during the day. There's not a heck of a lot, but it happens. Chances are you'll find this anywhere.

Westampton/Hainesport/Burlington/Cinnaminson houses in that price range will get you into a decent neighborhood, and all of these communities are near major highways & shopping. Do a little research before buying in one of these towns. There are some great deals and good neighborhoods, and you may find exactly what you like. However, the schools aren't as great as the M-towns listed above (decent schools, nonetheless, but the Ms have a reputation for being the best districts in Burlington County).

You mentioned Cherry Hill, which is where I lived for almost 4 years! Loved it. Good schools and nice neighborhoods! Its a big town but convenient to everything. $350 is no problem getting a nice house there.

Worth mentioning especially for schools is Moorestown and Haddonfield.
