Can someone please provide information on Wayne schools? We like the town and have found quite a bit in our price range, but we were wondering which area or school district would be desirable. Are there any areas (besides flood zones) to stay away from? Is there an area that's more desirable than another?

Our budget is $600k, looking for at least 3bd/2ba. We've found quite a bit in that price range, in many different areas. It's basically a decision on location within the town at this point.

Which high school is considered better? Wayne Valley or Wayne Hills?

As much honest info on the schools as possible, please!

I would send my kids to either Wayne Hills or Wayne Valley. Both schools are in the top 20% of New Jersey high schools according to NJ Monthly: 2010 Top High Schools in New Jersey-www.njmonthly.com (Hills is rated slightly higher.)

Wayne is a big football town. Hills is the dominant state football champ. Expect that reality to permeate school culture. Beyond that, Wayne and its schools have their pros and cons - like most suburban places.

(FYI - Driving through Wayne is like driving in a third-world country. County roads are much too narrow for the speed and volume of traffic -- and potholes don't seem to get repaired in a timely fashion. A daily commute may seem like an obstacle course. - IMO, of course!)

Wayne is huge!! I guess you would want to be on the side with the better highschool. I am interested in what people have to say as Wayne is somewhere we are considering too.

I think great schools rates schools also. Might check them out.
