This is true. I did it for years. You catch the 164 where it starts at Veteran's Plaza or at the bus stop signs along Godwin Avenue. Show your NJT monthly rail pass, and you don't pay. It used to cost $1.25 if you didn't have a monthly pass, but that was two years ago and there's been an increase since then.
