What is everyone getting for their Dad? I bought mine a gift card to Sunoco. Dad loves to complain about the economy, especially the high price of gas. This should keep him quiet for a couple weeks . I'm sure Mom will thank me too .

I bought my soon-to-be step-father a polo shirt and a book by VH1, "The 100 Greatest Albums of All Time."

I already gave it to him since we won't see him Sunday as we will still be in Wildwood.

My dad is the worst with presents. He generally doesn't care. He was missing all those old-school tv shows he used to watch... as luck would have it, I had found a boxed DVD set of *every* show he mentioned, and then some, for cheap!

Its still in the shrink wrap. This was four or five years ago.

He is getting a card and a hearty handshake

My dad used to love to get lottery tickets. He was always worried we would spend too much money on gifts and thrilled beyond belief for a big family bbq and a $5 lottery ticket.

I'm doing a family tree for my dad who is the last of 11 kids - he's 86 yrs. old and the patriarc (sp) of the family. I'm also downloading some very interesting articles on my great grand dads... seems I have some very famous..well famous to us....ancestors : ) I found some newspaper articles on my one grandfather who was the very last sheriff of brooklyn in the early 1900's. He was also one of the founders of the musician's union... pretty cool stuff : ) My other great grand father was a "cooper" who worked for Rockafeller (sp)... seems he was loaded! I wonder where my share of the inheritance is : )))) I'm also mailing dad a bottle of "Jarhead Red" wine. It's made by Marines for Marines...taste like crap but he'll love it : )

My son is only 14 months old so no gift but as long as its a nice day I'm taking him to the park since he just started walking and introduce him to the wonderful invention called a swing. Hopefully I wont get thrown up on. lol

Well, all I know is that for some reason Father's day turns to Mother's day all over again. We men don't enjoy (at least I don't) being the center of attention and I transfer all accolades, congrats & gifts towards my wife who deserves all the credit for who I am (I'm hoping she reads this so I can get extra points) LOL
