LOL , ive never lived in Newark...i live near Paramus. But i had Friends in Newark that have given up and moved to East Orange , Harrison , Kearny and Journal SQ.....
I know, but your were a big advocate for Newark in your older posts.

I am not the best person to ask this question, but will tell you what I know. Historic Downtown is the best area of Jersey City. You would want to remain within Grove Street, Hamilton Park, Newport, Paulus Hook, Van Vorst and Exchange Place. You need to avoid the Greenville area all together, don't consider this area regardless of how cheap the rent is. I have heard good and bad about The Heights, I believe it varies depending on the block.
