I live in the town next to Monroe and have friends that live there with school aged kids. If you value the ratings, in NJ Monthly I think it is #118 out of 300+ schools. "Greatschools.com" gave 2 of the elementary schools a 9 out of 10, the middle school was a 7 out of 10 and Monroe Township highschool was a 6 out of 10. So in a nutshell the district does above average for the state. My friends love the school district and haven't had any complaints.

It is garbage. For a little more Plainsboro is way better.

If you already knew the answer to your question, why did you--in effect--tell Taliana that she is wrong?

People pick different towns for different reasons. The taxes I hear are cheaper than Plainsboro/West Windsor and you get more house for the money. There are advantages and disadvantages of choosing a top highschool (WW/Plainsboro)over an average/above average highschool in this state. Only YOU as the parent can to make that decision.

Monroe is middle of the road. Not above average.

Why did you bother asking, if you knew all of the answers?

Why are you asking questions about it and then acting like you know all the answers? Take the time to do some research before you sound so ignorant on this thread. Let's try this again, shall we?..If you consider the ratings, the district as a whole, on "Greatschools.com" gives it a 7 out of 10. To me that is considered above average with 5 out of 10 being just average...... NJ Monthly is the same thing #118 out of 300+ schools is actually considered above average being that the school did better than MORE than half the state's highschools. Look...... I've read some of your other posts and you are a very hostile person. So stop asking questions just to start an argument.

Monroe is essentially a more affordable version of Plainsboro. 1/2 the town is made up of senior citizens and for that reason the taxes are kept very low. As far as families, it is fine except all those new houses are quite ugly and distasteful. 118 out of 322 high schools is not bad at all. When you get below 200 then you can start to worry.
