I live in PineBrook, NJ. I need to travel to B&N at 76 9th Avenue, New York, NY.
Anybody knows the best way to reach there? I tried one option. But it takes more time and more cost.

1. Pine Brook to Clifton NJTRANSIT. Clifton to Secaucus. Secaucus to NY Penn Station. And I took Subway to 9 th avenue.
This takes more than 2 hrs and $18 for round trip.

Well evil demon racist censor Google maps lists 3 options, quoting about 1 hr 45 mins.

I'm thinking the NJT 29 bus to Newark Penn, then the PATH to Christopher St might be easiest,

Either that or the Lakeland Bus to NYC then a subway.

Noodle maps doesn't list the Lakeland Bus option.

Pine Brook, NJ to 76 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011 - Google Maps

If you have a car, you could drive to Harrison ($10 parking) and take PATH; this is probably the fastest option.

If you take PATH, the 14th Street station is a little closer than the Christopher Street station. Not a big difference in time, but it saves some walking.

If you take NJTransit, you don't really need to take the subway, it's only about a 15 minute walk to the 111 Eighth Avenue entrance (same building) from Penn Station.

Out of curiosity, why is Google Maps "evil demon racist censor"?
(BTW, fun fact: Google owns 76 Ninth Avenue)

No , you take the Train to Hoboken and then take the PATH to 14th Street and walk 3 blocks over & up 2 blocks to 76 9th Ave. It should only take you 1hr at a min from Clifton to 9th Ave , or a max of 1.3hr. Not more 2hrs....this way is more direct.....and cheaper... Its only 11$ roundtrip for NJT and 3.50$ roundtrip for the PATH.

Usenet newsgroups are the basic lifeblood of free speech on the internet, yet Google NewsGroups chooses to eliminate entire newsgroups, pretend they do not exist, based solely on their own censorship.

Google censors content in the USA right before your eyes, although since they do not display it, you never know the difference.

It plainly stinks and is against free expression and speech which are the supposed to be the basis of the USA and the internet.

If you come into the city via Port Authority, you can take the M11 bus down Ninth Avenue from there directly to your destination.
