Questions about moving to New Jersey

Could anybody tell me about West Caldwell, Wayne, and Montclair/Bloomfield?

Which city is "better" and safer?

Also, does anyone know anything about William Paterson University in terms of being a nice school?

Even without the budget of $1400 (which would be hard to find a decent place WITHOUT your dogs in that price range) is a difficult one. But with 2 large dogs? NJ is not all that pet friendly with renters. I would move somewhere else or place the dogs with someone else and come without them. It's hard enough with small dogs, but with 2 large ones? No.

I live around the area you speak of, and out of those choices, i would pick wayne based off of bang for your buck. Montclair is the nicest, but can get pricey, and west caldwells ok. But waynes reasonably priced, nice, and has a transit center that can take you wherever you want.
