Yes , i was too tired to though but its been restored....its similar to the Washington Monument.

I will , i didn't take a train there my mom had to drop my brothers off at there Friends Farm up there so after that we went to the Park. You can take the Port Jervis line which stops at the bottom of the hill in Port Jervis and then during the Fall Season i think theres a shuttle for Leaf Tourists from Port Jervis to the Park.

You can go up into the monument?

Must only be certain times. I would have definitely gone up if it was open when I was there.

Yes , its a bit of a climb hench why i didn't do it....its open during park hours....there is a ranger in the tower...

What is the building (not the monument) in the 6th picture down? It almost looks like a ski lodge or something?

It is just a place for the park offices, nature presentations, group meetings, and that kind of thing.

I went up there many yrs ago,so beautiful,you would never think that this is New Jersey.Warren & Sussex counties are so breathtaking,I'd love to move up there one day.When people think of New Jersey,they think of Atlantic City,jersey shores,etc.,but the northwest part of this state is the place to be!,away from the big cities like Camden,A.C.,Trenton,Newark,etc.
