Ok, CL & SB thank God Irene is gone---how is everyone doing with the flooding and power loss. We lost power for 11 hrs. and have major leaks in the roof, but we are all safe, and that is the most important thing. DD in Northfield still without power, other 2 in Tuckerton, 1 with, the other not. SB I will be leaving you in charge & guide our young NJ friend--hubby, doggie & I are leaving next Sunday for 1 wk. in Key West. We just got back 3 wks. ago, but he wants to go back, so back we are going. I will bring my laptop so I can check in and see what trouble you all are getting into.
Kelsie! Thanks so much! I have your email addy! I won't be in NC until the 8th. Our minds are pretty much made up. My husband is beyond done paying our taxes! Plus we have lived here all our lives. A move will be a great thing! But of course, if I have more questions, I will def ask you both! Thanks again and have fun in key west! I LOVE it there!

kelsie, I'm so glad to hear from you! I was worried. This is the 1st Atlantic storm since 1964 that didn't have any effect on me. I can't say that I missed it.
We left NJ in 2007. We had moved to NJ from NY in 1988, We were 30 years old at that time. We moved to NC in 2007 . We loved it there. Unfortunately , due to a job transfer, we had to leave NC this past spring . We moved to CA but we really miss NC. Yes people will talk to to you wherever you go. A trip to the store to get a few items will not be short because everyone you meet , employees and customers will want to talk to you. We lived one hour north of Charlotte and we loved the weather.
You and your husband should make the move . You will enjoy living in NC
Melissa
