I read the same things. Sad to say if this thing ends up being a dud people wont ever believe the reports the next time a "big" one is lined up and ready to hit us. So its almost as if this better live up to the predictions because you want people to actually believe what the experts say.

i dont think this is an accurate statement at all. its funny how you can make this claim without any real basis in fact, only your desire to connect the two.

but also, those two arent related. its one thing for the responsible parties to be prepared and its another for people to say that everyone is going crazy when it will probably be nothing major. i do think the evacuations in nyc is a very bad idea at this point. they are sending various groups of people to high schools and other places. these people would be perfectly safe in their apartment buildings but now they are going to spend a few days in high schools.

The Problem is that the Agencies are fighting over where its going , East , west ? It will be a Tropical Storm when it hits NYC Metro and even Cape May , but if it goes East some more like the local stations say is more likely NYC will be spared the worst in the wind dept. Rain is a different story...

I made it fine, only a 5 minute wait for gas in Millville! It was more traffic than usual, but more like normal Friday night heading to the shore traffic than evacuation traffic. Thanks, guys!

I had to have work done on my car today. My mechanics were not happy about this, because they live in Toms River and HAVE to go down past 98 to get home.
