I'm looking to move to NJ for a job, and I wondered what the areas here were like. I just graduated, and I'm looking for an apartment to rent somewhere in northern NJ that's not terribly expensive, yet still in an area where I'll feel safe. Are the neighborhoods pretty nice here? Thanks for any help!

Dont know much about Hudson county . Millburn , Short Hills and Livingston are good safe places in Essex county. All expensive but very nice neighborhoods.
Good luck !

Fairfield is a nice town in Essex County with low taxes in comparison to the other communities.
