I didn't state the $58B was the cost to fund the pension. The $58B is the amount NJ is in debt now, and they CONTINUE to borrow more money and fund the state/teachers pensions instead of trying to reduce the debt.

I agree, I wish we could reduce the debt and make the budget more reasonable. But this azz hairs in Trenton refuse to do the right thing, refuse to reduce spending, ignore our request to cut expensives while at the same time spend spend spend. I'm getting sick of it and I'll either move or go poor and enroll to get everything for free.

I don't consider that to be an asset to the citizens of NJ by any stretch of the imagination. Seeing how long Codyey's been in the game, I would have to say he's part of NJ's problem.
He just went along with corruption as an art form, royally screwing the suburbanites taxwise, allowing judges to legislate and so and so on..........
Corzine said that he wants to cut New Jersey's debt in half. He still hasn't cut the property taxes yet.
His cutting of state debt is more taxes. Honestly, I'd be willing to pay more taxes if that meant it would cut our state debt and lower taxes in the future, but let's be serious here...it won't mean lower taxes in the future (taxes will go up as they do)
