Can someone recommend or have a feedback on the apartments of Maple Avenue in Park Ridge ?
Apparently they are in front of the Park Ridge train station and I'm a bit concerned about the noise.
There on the backside of the station , theres also a thick layer of pine trees between the to. That cuts down on some of noise....some of the apartments and houses built in the Railroad Suburbs of this region have thicker walls to block out the noise...

If your not Noise sensitive then you'll get used to it very fast , you can set your watch to the trains.... The Newer trains are pretty quiet , although the horn can rattle ya.
Zillow is a great website to use. I would also suggest Coldwell Banker real estate in Saddle River... they handle most of the northern Bergen County area. They should be able to find you a great apartment or home rental in the nearby area.
One thing to consider is that the train from Park Ridge does not go directly to Manhattan. You'll have to get off the train in Secaucus and switch to a different train. I know someone who lives in Park Ridge and commutes to NYC daily. She said it's over 90 minutes door to door on a good day and describes the commute as "gets old very quickly". If you watch the news you'll see that the NJ Transit rail system is plagued with problems...there is always some kind of delay and often multiple times per week.

Meh , Diesel lines aren't the problem its the Electric lines , but you can take the PATH to avoid all that depends on where you work. Most people use the bus in Bergen County.
They're nice. I would definitely rent for a year though before looking into buying into something in the area. Each town has it's own specific feel, and renting will give you an idea what the best aspects of each town are.
Wouldn't be my first choice, but definitely a fine one for a first timer in the area.
assuming you want to be able to get into manhattan for fun. I consider the train the best option for this by far. Assuming you want to bring cat. Using your price range of 1500-2500. So looking along the Pascack Valley line towns from River Edge to Montvale

$2,095 - - 489 Mackay ave, Oradell, NJ, ML#:1136792
Free realtor work. You're welcome.
The ML# is the listing number on the MLS, the listing service for Bergen county.
I strongly recommend you contact a realtor to help you find more places, see these places.
Of course these are all listed places, and these along with any place a realtor finds for you will have a realtor fee involved, almost always one month's rent, payable by you the tenant upon renting.
There are of course plenty of apartment buildings in the area and apartments not listed and just advertised directly by the owner, which wouldn't involve a realtor fee, and some may allow dog/cat. You may also want to try offering a higher security deposit or possibly even higher rent to get them to allow you to bring in your cat.
