Are there any easy hikes near the river or any streams or falls? Looking for something short and not strenuous.

Thanks!

This site is great for information on hikes around the gap. NJ Hiking - Hiking in New Jersey and Beyond | NJ trail info, photos, videos, maps, resources, trail blog | njHiking.com

I have found them to be very useful, detailed and accurate. Enjoy!

Dunnfield Creek is nice. Part of the hike's on the Appalachian Trail so if you miss the turnoff to the green trail (the one that goes along Dunnfield) there's no telling where you'll end up .

It's not near the gap itself but it's in the recreation area. Dingmans Falls is 1/4 mile and a flat boardwalk trail and there are two nice waterfalls (Dingmans and Silver Thread). Dingmans Falls is about 130 feet.

Thanks, but they closed that.

I found this in my research. Looks like they'll keep those areas closed until next spring.

I like using Discover Camping, Hiking, Mountain Biking & Other Outdoor Trails | AllTrails.com. The website has pictures, reviews from hikers, the average time of the hike, and the skill level.
