It's great that you enjoy F1 but it is what it is, a spectacle for non racing fans.
That is a pretty stupid statement, considering F1 is the most watched form of motor racing in the world, not the good ol'US, the world.
The last couple of F1 seasons have been very exiting to watch, lots of overtaking, incredible car control and yes, crashes too.
Are you a Nascar fan?

Yes I am a NASCAR fan and I go to the races not just watch on TV. Right now 17 different Cup drivers have won a race this season.
How many F1 drivers have won a race besides the Red Bull team? I know Lewis Hamilton has one win.
I watch a little F1 myself and thanks for the little dig about crashes after all that's all us NASCAR fans care about.
BTW Red bull has yet to get a win in Cup.Not so easy to buy Cup wins like it is in F1

Yes that is true because NASCAR rewards driver consistency not
which team can out spend all the other teams combined.
F1 is for those who prefer to see lots of money spent and very little racing.(let's be honest when it comes to a good competitive show F1 really sucks)
I am not knocking F1 as a serious European show of wealth but for pure racing it only appeals to the wealthy fans where money spent is more important than a good competitive race.
You can't blame F1 for staging a race in the most populated state right where the money is after all that's their fan base.

i'm sorry, but i completely disagree that it's not a competitive race. you can't look at who wins a race and judge whether or not that race was competitive. you have to watch the race to see that. and it appeals to a heck lot more people than wealthy, which is why it's the most watched motorsport in the world. you're pretty foolish to think these things about a sport that is so widely watched around the world. to think there is that many wealthy individuals to watch it is insane.
