I don't know the specific street you're talking about, but Hazlet is a nice place to live. You'll find it incredibly convenient if you like the city and beach.
Beers Street is an elementary school. Hazlet is a great town. I'm Italian, you won't be at a loss to find Italian people here. Also, so many people that live here are originally from Brooklyn (whether that is good or bad is debatable )
The Shore Point Inn has been there forever, but I don't know anything about it really. The restaurant used to be called the Shore Point Restaurant, and has changed ownerships a few times before now becoming a steakhouse. It's on Holmdel Rd and Rt. 35, you'll also find the Goddard School and the firehouse behind it.
I stand corrected. The house is actually blocks from the school. The house is actually a block from a Youth Athletic Field center. (I though the football field was the high school)
I have to make my decision by around noon tomorrow, which explains how anxious I am and why I am up so late.
I am trying to think where Maple Place is, I'm picturing the baseball fields. If it's the neighborhood by the fields, than it is really nice. Just know that the street with the baseball field is a connecting street (although curvy and narrow as you travel in), for Holmdel Rd. and Hazlet Ave. Also, there is a ton of traffic on that street in baseball season. But the side streets are really nice.
Hazlet is a great town. The schools are nice. The area is nice.
It looks really nice! Ask the neighbors how the traffic is for the side streets in that neighborhood. (There used to be a first aid squad in that neighborhood, but I'm not sure if it's still there anymore).
The good thing about Hazlet is that a lot of the town is established enough that you won't have to worry too much about what is being built behind you. Also, the school population stays stable because the number of new houses built here is a lot lower than towns such as Holmdel and Marlboro, where population is exploding with new construction. Hazlet doesn't have that much room.
The taxes in Hazlet are high, but that could be said for a lot of towns in the area (or NJ) for that matter.
I know this is a huge decision, good luck!
