We live in Monroe NJ towards Route 130. Every few weeks, on Sunday evenings, we have noticed very very loud music like an outdoor concert (unclear if the language is even English) on throughout the early evening and lasting till about 8.30 pm. It is a huge bother. We noticed this throughout the summer and even today. We called the local Monroe police who told us that the loud music was from Cranbury, NJ. Anyone aware of what that might be? I do plan to call the police in Cranbury tomorrow to find out.
Most towns "disturbing the peace" ordinances aren't in effect until after 10:00 PM. Music up until 8:30 PM at night does not sound like they are breaking the law. Not sure what you're expecting the police to do.

Any noise you here is not going to be coming from Cranbury proper. The noise ordinances they have in place are enough to limit this stuff. A lot depends on where you live in Monroe relative to Rte. 130 and some of the other towns and communities in the region.
This music goes on for hours, I doubt if it is a marching band related to a school sport. Seems more like a concert...
Don't mean to jack your thread - but I see you live in Monroe - my husband and I are considering buying here this coming year - how do you like it? I heard the schools are good? How is the bus to NYC - doable?
Thanks!

Schools are good in both Monroe and Cranbury, there's a bus station on 130 in Cranbury, turnpike is right there too (Exit 8a)
I will be honest. Don't buy, especially in Jersey, unless you absolutely must.
Possibly a weekly volley ball tournament. Look for the game, you may find the music.
