Hello, Can anyone give their honest and helpful thoughts on the planned community in Chesterfield? The home sizes and prices are reasonable for NJ. Is the area safe? Family oriented? The elementary school is great?
Has the area been a success or a failure (homes not occupied, not reselling, etc).
We've been looking in bucks county, PA but the house are so expensive for what little and outdated you get! We are moving from California so are unable to house hunt in person.
Thanks for the help, but looking for comments from people living there rather than Wikipedia. We are in California, so we'd be buying a house without seeing it firsthand.
Is it a very safe area? Is the development selling or are the homes just sitting vacant and/or going into foreclosures so buying a home would not be a good investment? Is the elementary school a great school or just mediocre? Is it a family atmosphere with kids outside playing at the playgrounds or everyone stays inside?
It is safe. Fairly rural. You need to see if the flight pattern out of McGuire has any impact. I do not believe it does but double check. I believe the HS district is Northern Burlington which is an average high school district. Your student can do fine there and get into about any college but it is not a top district.
Where are you commuting to and what are you looking to spend on a home? If you are going towards Philly than Moorestown and Haddonfield would be better districts. If you are going to NYC than Princeton and West Windsor are a step or two up.
