What are the best areas in Ridgefield Park for a small started home(3bed/1 or 2 bed...max $300K)? I printed a map of the town but don't have a clue on what areas I should be focusing on. Thx!

The only areas I wouldn't look are in the southern part of town near Overpeck Creek as it tends to flood. And I guess if there was to a "less nice" part of RP, it'd be down there.

Try to avoid being too close to the highways if you can avoid it. Will be on the noisy side otherwise and might be tough to resell down the line.

You could also look in Teaneck or Bogota. Both border RP, the whole area is pretty on par in terms of niceness, price, safety and amenities. You could even get away living without a car if you work in Manhattan are are a close enough walk to RP, Bogota or Teaneck's little downtown areas. Overall a great area, we're hoping to buy around here within the next few years.
