I actually posted this question back when we were looking. I did end up passing on the "wallpaper" house. The home continued to drop in price and someone else eventually bought it as it went to short sale. We ended up buying our home in November and I only had to "de-princess" a bedroom for my son. Mainly removing border and then painting. More my speed .
Thanks everyone for their input. This is a great forum and I still visit it even though I am now settled in my new home.

Congratulations on the choice of your new home. I hope you bought in a good location because unfortunately location is the one thing you can't change.

Thanks
Our house looked like it came out of a episode of Maude. Purchase a good steamer and it all comes down in a flash.

Default Yes...that is why we moved!

Thanks for the Congrats. Yes..one of the reasons we moved was to move to a better location. Our old home was on "a main road" which made it even more difficult to sell. We are now in a great neighborhood in a cul-de-sac! You are very correct in that location is most important!!
