Hi all, my wife and I are planning to move into an apartment in one of the above mentioned towns. We have a son who is nearing 1 year so quality of schools will be a big factor as we plan to be here for a minimum of 5 years. We both work in NYC so commute is also a factor along with low crime rate, nice shopping center and downtown area and all that good stuff. I would really appreciate any comments based on experience living in these towns to help us make a decision. Thanks!
I live in Millburn, within walking distance of downtown and think we have all those things. I can't speak for the other areas. The commute is super easy if you can find a place within walking distance of the train. We have nice down town with good restaurants and shopping, and the crime we do have tends to be fairly minor (check out the Millburn Patch each week for a police blotter report of typical crime). The schools are also excellent.
