Anyone have input on drive time impact on trip to PHL from Trenton around 5-5:30 on a weekday?

I've got to plan travel time for client site departure and don't know how much to allow for the travel time.

Probably an hr , all depends on the crazy Philly traffic , Trenton is so bad. An Express Train takes 30mins....and a local takes 45mins...from Trenton to Center City.

At least an hour. Rush hour is terrible on I-95.

Also, where are you going in Philadelphia? The local roads will likely be congested as well, so you'll have to take that into consideration.

If you have to go to Center City, taking the train from Trenton might be another option.

I think the OP means the airport (PHL).

I would plan for at least an hour and 30 minutes. I would also leave Trenton and take 295 South straight through to Walt Whitman before crossing to Philly to get 95 South to the airport. If you leave at 5:30p from Trenton you should avoid most of the traffic on 295 between Route 38 and 42 and will probably make the trip in an hour, but I still wouldn't count on that.

my work commute was south philly to trenton in the AM and trenton to south philly in the PM for 3 years. it would usually take me 1 hour with traffic. 35 mins no traffic. barring no accidents and only regular traffic it really shouldnt take much more than an hour.

-i always took 95 and rt 1
