Help....cannot find any info regarding unemployment in new jersey for those who work only part time (unemployment benefits)

hi, i have worked for my store as a part time employee for the last two years. if i do not get the promised 20 hrs a week, and only get 12 hrs per week. do i qualify to get unemployment benefits in new jersey? i cannot find any information regarding this question. thank you for any help.

I think there's a sub forum here for unemployment. Do you have anything in writing guaranteeing you 20 hours? I collected partial unemployment before, and the way it worked then is that every week my employer had to sign a form stating he couldn't give me 40 hours, and I got unemployment making up the difference. I do not know if it makes a difference that you don't want FT employment. Also your current employer will have to pay part of whatever unemployment gives you, so you need to let them know you are going to be filing in the weeks you don't get enough hours. I do not think you can do it off and on a regular basis, a week here and there, but if there's a slow season where your hours are cut for a few months but then it's expected to go back up you can collect during that slow season.
