I just moved to Jersey City, and really don't feel like spending every weekend going to Manhattan to hang out.

What are some good places in Jersey City to hang out at? I'm in my late twenties, and like low-key (read: not fancy) bars with a good jukebox. I've been to Lucky 7's and enjoyed myself there. Any other places in the area you'd recommend?

Also, any good sports bars in JC?

And, I've been to Hoboken - never to any bars though.

I highly recommend the cuisine at White Mana and Boulevard Drinks. Sorry, I just had to!

Right on. Zeppelins should be your first stop.

Zeppelin Hall Beer Garden and Barcade are 2 spots to definitely check out. Both places have a ton of beers on tap, the beer garden is great in the summertime, and the Barcade has a bunch of 1980s arcade games.

Check out the Iron Monkey, which has a great rooftop for the summertime, and the first floor pub is great too, lots of great beer.

I think PJ Ryan's is the best sports bar around JC, especially for Giants games.

For a great neighborhood pub, White Star Bar is solid, as is 9th and Coles Tavern and Lucky 7's, which you mentioned.

You might want to also check out Abbey's Pub for a casual pub atmosphere, but there is hookah smoke inside.

There are a bunch more, but this is a solid start, welcome to the neighborhood!

I love Lucky 7 when I go out to JC. If you like that vibe, try Barcade, also an off beat place, but good, a bit more expensive though. People that like Lucky 7 also seem to like White Star.

I recommend Maxwells in Hoboken, a bit cleaner than Lucky 7 but has a pretty awesome jukebox. Louise and Jerrys also in Hoboken, and DCs is out of the way but similar to Lucky but not as many people.
