Take 31 South to 95 to route 1 or
22 to 206 to route 1.

Personally I prefer 31.

Depends on what part of rt 1.

rt 31 to to 518 to carter rd or great rd to some side roads to rt 1

78 to 287 to

206 to 518 east to 603 to rt 1 , near the holiday inn

or 206/27 south to quaker rd to rt 1 near quakerbridge mall

or 206 to 27 north to south on 526/571

Also are a number of back road possibilities too. Keeps you off the traficky roads. Where in Princeton?

I'd go 78 East, 287 South, 206 South, Alexander Street to Route 1

If you're going to do that, there is a much better way on back roads with maybe 10% of the traffic and lights, at least the part from I-287 to Princeton.
