1) Where I can test out my car: Parts of Rt 1 (believe it or not) and 287
2) Scenic: Any of those inter-county roads that wind and twist through Hunterdon, Warren and Sussex Counties, such as 517, 519 and 521 I think. Although I do like 537 too past Great Adventure heading toward Mt. Holly, some interesting things there. Get the book "Backroads, New Jersey" by Mark DiIonno, pretty kewl stuff in there. And parts of 130 and 206 that have a bit of that "Old New Jersey" flavor still alive and well along them, although 130 is starting to get built out now, but it is there in spots.
nj turnpike - moves fast during my commute
gsp - moves fast during my commute
road through colts neck that i take between middletown and freehold, i think it might be 537. i like it because it goes through farms and nice big open properties that i think look purty.
Yes, it's 537. And there are horsies! Lots of horsies.

Buy that book, Mightyqueen. That was a 'one night read' for me. That is to say, I didn't sleep until I finished it, cover to cover. One of the very best books I've ever read. But then again, I love road history.

The GSP at 3AM, and I forgot the name of the other, but it's a wide, hilly road in northern jersey by Paramus.
