Hello,
I am considering moving into one of these areas. The rents seem affordable near NYC. Any opinion? Are they safe?
Thanks in advance

Hi, I moved to Cliffside Park back in November after growing up in nearby Teaneck.

I am really happy with my decision.

The rent is affordable as far as the nyc area goes. I am thrilled that our roughly 850 sq ft two bedroom is 1,300. I also feel totally safe in Cliffside Park as well as North Bergen.

Union City I feel is fine, but it can be a bit gritty for some in terms of the crowdidness, and honestly it is not the cleanest city out there, but I know people who are really happy living there due to the affordability.

All three areas are good for commuting into Manhattan, which I do every weekday. Takes about 30-45 minutes from Cliffside, and I would suspect those times would be even better from NB or UC.

I used to live in Cliffside Park - it's safe, clean, and a quick commute into the city. It used to take me 30-45 min to drive to the Bronx or to midtown.
