Theres not many homes for rent in my town (Wayne) but if you're looking for a safe quiet area, I know of two homes specifically that I would recommend...
One is on Pines Lake Drive East for $3,000 (which is located in the Pines Lake community of Wayne), and the other is on Highland Terrace for $3,500 (which is several blocks up the hill from the lake in the Packanack Lake community).
The one on Highland Terrace has been on the market for over a month now, so I'm sure you could negotiate a deal. Both are single family homes, well-landscaped, updated, etc... My suggestion is check out
GSMLS (Public) for some information for the listed rentals.
