VP is practically an afterthought unless it's targeting one specific group like women or Latinos. Most people vote their party.

I think he's too fat and too loud to be a VP candidate. Haley from S.C. is probably what Romney needs.

He'd be smart to take a woman because he's way behind Obama with women (despite his greased back Wall St. appearance) and Latinos, outside of Cubans, generally don't vote Republican. Guess which group is growing the fastest in the US?

There really is no weaker argument than to attack the source. Especially when you have it wrong, PPP conducted the poll.

No - you think he's too Republican

But love how nearly every comment comes back to the weight issue.

Even as a Democrat, in an overly-Democratic state, you are in the minority regarding the Governor.

You may be proven correct in the next election.

But you aren't now, despite your protestations to the contrary.

He won't be picked because you have to be somewhat fit to be the #2. He's a sweaty, wheezing mess.

Yes, EB-OneTrick, we get it

You dislike Christie, and he is overweight

But really, keep repeating the same theme in every post, in case anyone new comes by this thread...

This makes a lot of sense because in all honesty these guys are middle of the road Republicans. The country isnt ready for a Santorum type president nor will it ever be so these two are a nice moderate bunch. Dont think they would beat Obama but they would give him a run for his money.

Default Why and how?

Why can you not understand a Govenor comes into office with existing conditions. Some that evolved over years of bad decisions by the legislators and previous Govenors. The State's problems, as Obama says,"existed" before he took office. The difference between Obama and Christie is that Christie recognizes the short and long term problems and is trying to prevent castrophes. Obama's method of "redistributing the wealth" by giving the tax payers' money to a select few (government employees) who vote for politicians who support excessive "benefits" has to stop. The government employees compensation and especially benefits must come into line with the private sector. If not the US will be the Communist's model in reverse. The Communits started and maintained a low pay wage hence a revolution. The US is currently over compensating it's government employees. Hence who knows how in time the private and unemployed sector will react? As Govenor Christie's concerns are limited to NJ but international trade inbalances, the dollar's value and all the other issues I am sure are part of his decision making process.

So instead of critizing him for try to create an acceptable balance an promote the State to business and industry how about your solution to the State's financial problems?

I suggest you visit China, Indonesia or other areas of the world to see how they are working to over take the US in all areas. The Chines newspaper is available on line and in English. Read how they are investing the money the US owes them in Latin America and other pates of the world. China especially is the new "sleeping giant" that the US woke and is now eating us alive.

Our way over-compensated Wall Street titans, when not promoting shaky mortgage-backed securities (and then betting against them at the same time and not telling customers) also buy up companies and off-shore the jobs and profits so as to not pay taxes. We're great at financial wheeling & dealing, not so much the manufacturing of actual goods any longer. Maybe that's the inevitable progression given our overall wealth, but the America your parents & grandparents knew is probably gone forever. Globalism and spectacular greed is mostly the cause IMO.
