The networks played these back to back during Irene.
Chris Christie has been a great Governor, he successfully reformed pensions and cut spending, he has moved in the right direction on education reform by offering greater choice, he cut taxes, and now he proposes even more reforms to education and a broad based tax cut. The Governor has successfully restored the states fiscal well-being and has helped bring both parties together to get things done, and he's helped bring private sector job growth to NJ.
Unlike Obama, Christie is honest and able to do what is best for our state, not his own re-election.
This is funny. I thought for a minute you were being serious.
If THAT is the most you guys have to complain about, Christie's job is pretty safe. BTW, I actually liked his press conference better. If you like his policies this stuff just doesn't bother you. If you don't, well then that is just another reason to give about why you don't like him. In other words, this kind of stuff is completely irrelevant fluff that the news media loves to harp on, but doesn't really change votes.
CC is what NJ needs and the nation recognizes it even if several NJ residents do not.
Seems his detractors want to maintain the status quo in NJ politics which has given us the stable machinery where 'working within the system' is a code for 'don't rock the boat", 'you have to go along to get along'.
This perfectly evolved machine allows the electorate to change a component in a fit of occassional rebellion and yet, not disrupt the flow of a finely tuned political lifestyle enjoyed by elitists who thrive on taxpayer money in return for feel good laws and quid pro quo back room deals.
The electorates preference is to encourage nebulous promises, creative accounting and interpretive rhetoric.
CC speaks clearly.
CC is a communicator.
You know what he means without the need for a political commentator or administrative interpretation.
A bully is someone who passes sweeping legislation by nuclear option after saying he would not pass his names sake legislation by nuclear option. Then has the audacity to tell you through his partner in crime, 'you have to pass it to see what's in it".
A bully is someone who endorses a previous speaker who implores union members to 'take out' their enemies.
CC is not a bully by any stretch of the imagination.

A bully is someone who screams at teachers and Navy SEALs and has no tact whatsoever.
BTW - our unemployment rate has not changed through his entire "reign" as he gives big tax breaks to Panasonic and Prudential. So he's a bully AND an ineffective leader.

So we are blaming the unemployment rate on Christie??? By your rational, John Corzine caused a HUGE spike in the unemployment rate, while Christie actually brought it down a little and it continues to decline under his watch. Remember, I am using YOUR line of reasoning here. This chart illustrates the unemployment rate, keeping in mind that Christie took office in November 2009.

Maybe you forgot, Bev was asking for evacuations for days. Christie was on vacation until someone else asked for evacuations to start. It's just an example. I could have used Christie calling a vet an idiot, or countless other screaming, name-calling encounters that he's had, publicly.

We don't have such short memories that we suddenly forget that guy was a democratic politician who went there looking for a fight. The fact that he was a navy seal is incidental and has no bearing on the situation. The only reason to bring it up is for political reasons and headlines. Again, the only people bothered by this are people who wouldn't vote for him anyway, and are grasping at straws.
