Piscataway is not rural, its suburbia. Rural - try sections of Hillsborough, Readington, Branchburg, Clinton, Jackson, South Brunswick, etc. New Brunswick and surrounding towns tend to be crowded or suburban. Rural in NJ is generally way up north or way down south.

Only real bad part is the part immediately bordering Plainfield. The rest is fine.
