Within 40 min driving to NJCU, including traffic.
Someth affordable, but not ghetto, town transit options to NYC don't matter.

I heard Rutherford b4, but it's kinda expensive.

ThankS

Try Bayonne...next door to JC. It is alright, not ghetto and affordable.

try Lyndhurst or North Arlington, Kearny. Secaucus also has quiet areas.

Secaucus is decaying and while safe , is rather boring and not laid back....

Lyndhurst and Kearny are both middle class working towns....both with big plans for the future....so it won't be so laided back down the road..

Hmmm , your choices are limited then....Metuchen is about an hr without traffic to NJCU....I live in Westwood , if you take the train it takes 1hr and 15 mins to get to the Campus...not that bad...considering you can relax and not deal with any traffic big or small or parking...
