I am looking for a place where I can purchase new or used tires for a cheap price. Are there any places with good prices in north Jersey?

I used to get used tires at Art's on Goffle Rd. in Hawthorne.

They do have very good prices, but I think you have to be a member. If you can catch a sale at one of the chains, they will generally be around what the normal BJ/Costco price is. Overall though "cheap" is relative, how cheap are we talking? Depending on the size, there are usually tire models/brands out there you can get new for well under $100 a tire. Just about any chain like NTB, Just Tires, Sears or Pep Boys will carry a wide range of tires at different price levels and are usually pretty aggressive on price matching, even to internet prices.

If you need an absolute dirt cheap tire, start looking for the small independent places as they usually have some good used tires hanging around for not much money. Just remember though, you get what you pay for and tires are the most important item on your vehicle.

They often have coupons for 15 days free if you are into coupons.
I agree, I would not want the cheapest tires, I've some some tires failing on highways and it doesn't seem like it was any fun.

I would actually recommend comparing prices against TireRack.com and then having your local garage install them. You could save money in the long run.

I read your response and called them and they were really helpful, nice customer service. I still will be calling a few other places to see if anyone has cheaper tires. I think my tires are just really expensive.
