Most parts of Jersey City are safer than Newark.

Most parts are, especially the downtown area where the office buildings are.

You may want to consider getting a roommate for Hoboken or J.C. as they are both fairly expensive.

What about these apartments?

Studebaker Lofts

RPM Studebaker

Packard Lofts

Welcome to Packard Lofts

The Broad Street area isn't too bad. But I won't say completely good.

I'm considering these two.

With a roommate of course.

And private parking is a must!

As a fellow pretty, young and single lady, you must always consider your safety first.

LOL I know, right. I would think an unattractive young lady would be in as much danger. I think it's the fact that you're young, female and living alone that makes you an easy target.

I second that. Post an ad on Craigslist and find another young woman to live with. It will make rent more affordable and you'll get to live in a safer place.

As a mother with a young daughter.

No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No.

It would break my heart if my daughter was searching for someplace safe and someone steered her the wrong way because of their selfish reasons for wanting to promote Newark.

Innocent people are murdered in Newark almost on a daily basis.

Stay away, stay away, stay away, stay away.

And if someone wants to flame me fine, but if I can save a young person....

The nightlife you want is more or less in either the Morristown area, or the Hoboken area (perhaps Jersey City, but I'm not sure).

Move closer to those towns.........

I actually read the thread title as "pretty (i.e. quite) young and single" rather than "pretty, young, and single"
