I am looking for good swimming pool/gym facility near Verona/Mont Claire area, primarily for my kids to swim and participate in gymnastics or other sports/arts activities.

I visited Mont Claire YMCA today, the facility is a bit disappointing - small pool and very limited open swim time that fits working parents' schedule.

My friends told me there is a LifeTime gym in Florham Park, but that's about 30 mins drive one way, a bit far to send kids during weekday evenings.

Is there anything else in the area?

I am also looking for recommendations on kids art/sports/music programs around the area.

Yeah, I went to Park St today. My kids are 6 and 3. They can only use the small pool, and maybe just half of the small pool, as one end is pretty deep. I am concerned that it will be very crowded during family swim time.

Is there any good fitness gym that has bigger pool around the area?

Right now I live very close to the Verona pool, and let me tell you for a smaller town it has exceeded my expectations.

Large, large pool that is a hit during the summer with the kids (lots of families there), and I remember my friends using that pool for competitive swimming back when they were in high school.

It's certainly worth checking out.

Verona's community pool (summer) is gorgeous!! Huge, has slides, lots of different areas, a great swim team and lessons, etc!! Beautiful family place for summer.

Cedar Grove has a beautiful community pool also.

Probably have to live in the town in which the pool is located.
