There's a show I'd like to see at the above-mentioned theater. The show is at night and my only way of getting there is by train. From Google maps it looks like a straight shot down Pine St from the train station and supposedly only a 9 minute walk. My question: Is this a safe walk, particularly at night for two women? I haven't lived in Jersey for years so I'm not too well-versed.

Thanks!

The area a quite safe, as a woman, I have walked in the area alone many many times even late at night. It is a quick and easy walk from the theatre to the train station, though when you get to Morris Street be careful walking across to the train station, as Morris Ave is fairly busy. There are a few restaurants plus the Dublin Pub on Pine Street between South Street and Morris Street, so there is always people around the area in the evening. Going from the train station to the theatre you are going uphill, so best to wear good walking shoes! (and not your Louboutins ) Enjoy the show, the Mayo is wonderful!

Yes, confirming very safe, and you'll probably have company to/from the train station. Just FYI, most people in the area still call it the Community Theatre (just in case anyone looks blank about 'Mayo blah blah blah' if you check location while walking!)
