He only travels by train.

Wilsey Sq. was always crowded when I lived nearby. Not sure how this Buddy Mania is going to be handled by the cops.

RW roads are a hazard. Pedestrians are being struck on what seems like a weekly basis. I have more close calls in that Wilsey Square area than I do walking around NYC. More traffic would be bad news, imo.

That's just it. Ridgewood's a small town with small streets, but big city levels of traffic and pedestrian activity in the downtown area.

This Carlo's Bakery will create absolute mayhem. In addition to traffic and pedestrian activity increased above and beyond current levels which are already more than the town can handle, the millionaires in the nearby mansions will go absolutely crazy over the noise and commotion. There will be tons of accidents too.

It should be very interesting.

The new train station is decent, but there are two issues. First, dumping dozens of new pedestrians onto already crowded streets where the existing load is being struck is bad news. Seriously, crossing from the train station to the location is one of the most treacherous. Escaping from the train station parking lot alone is unnerving, and then there is the intersection. Second, there is a capacity limit with outbound trains there. Namely, the island platforms that all outbound passengers are now dumped at is only accessible by 2 narrow stairwells. I, for one, can't wait for the slew of drooling cake addicts to block my escape.

Side note, the 164 bus to Midland Park leaves off right in front.

Why not build a bakery in his "beloved" hometown of Little Ferry? Not fancy enough?
It's a matter of demographics. Ridgewood has a solid middle class income of roughly $150,000. Little Ferry's population is relatively poor and will not buy $100 cakes. He doesn't cater to poor people. So suggesting he open up is Little Ferry shows your lack of business knowledge and is complete nonsense.
