Fellow Members,

I search on forum to find out some recent advise for inspection and survey on first time home buying experience. however most of them are from 2007, 2008 and so on. So i decided to get some more current advise from our members here.

I am out of attorney review and now have 10 calendar days to perform home inspection. I have talked to couple of them and finally got settled on George H White of Home Diagnostic Inspection. He quoted me $475 including radon and termite inspection. Can anyone vouch for him? I found him on ASHI site.

I would love to get some referral on home inspection and surveyor, the property located on clifton area. its 0.23 acre in size and a single family house. I am looking for stake in a ground type of survey as this property doesn't have fencing or anything like that around the borders.

Any help will greatly be appreciated,
Aspi

I used George White back in 2009. He doesn't check heating and cooling systems as part of the inspection, so make sure YOU do that during the inspection. I got burned by this the first time I turned on my heat...5 months after buying my house. My radiators had leaks which ended up costing me over $3k in repairs. So even if its hot outside make sure you turn on the heat and make sure there are no problems. Turn on the AC too.
