I normally don't look at my EZ Pass account online statement too closely, but today I noticed that for some reason I am being charged two different rates between exit 8 and exit 6. In the morning I am being charged $1 less than the stated toll for EZ-Pass Peak. Odd. It has been happening for the past 2 weeks.

The NJ toll system is VERY VERY VERY flawed and messed up.

I received in the mail a ~$53 ticket for not paying $3 cash to an empty toll booth with no stick to block traffic or no signs saying the toll booth is empty.

If the state is gonna have so many random toll booths everywhere then they can at least maintain them.

Sorry, i'm very annoyed right now. No offense to anybody, this is directed at the government dept whose responsible for this BS.

That "government" is more like a "boys club" around here. BTW if you know anyone with an EZ Pass account they can add your plate to their account even just for a short time and EZ pass will wipe the $50 off, just charge you the $3. Its legitimate if you do it that way.

Oh and NJ and most other states don't have any "sticks" to block traffic. That's sort of a NY thing, which you can keep .

You go online or else fill out the form and put in the EZ Pass account number and either just send a check for the $3 or else they deduct the $3 from the account.
