A few years ago I applied to work at Fed Ex I got the job but the hours were from 4am to 8am not a lot of hours, now I don't remember all the details of the job because I didn't take the job, I was hired at a different place the Monday I was supposed to start Fed Ex. I only took the other job because it was 40 hours a week and better pay, and easier on the back! No lifting heavy packages. I've been lookng all over Indeed.com and other job sites but most things I find want so much experience like 3 years or 5 years driving a garbage truck or what ever type of truck. How the hell will I ever get 3 or 5 years experience of any tyep of driving job when NO ONE will hire me?
I could use a job too, I have a CDL Class B with air brakes, and a Passenger endosement but no one is looking to hire someone that has 0 experience with driving a Roll off truck or anything like that. I would like to get a job like that since it pays well, or so I think, well it pays thats the main thing. I was working for First Transit at Rutgers but I wanted to tranfer to their NJTransit contract (Accesslink)... that was a mistake.
kjd, I hear your pain. I wish I could suggest more, but the job situation in this region isn't good. I happen to be underemployed, and certainly don't have the money and benefits that jobs gave 25 years ago. I guess you'll have to follow up on every lead and maybe check other states as well. Good luck.
If you go to a companies website (and make sure it's a legitimate website) and they ask for the SSN, you should have no problem, but other than that, I would be careful.
Thanks guys..I think wat I need now is God's Blessings to get a job. Please remember me in your prayers!! Thank you!!
