Hello everyone,
So we just moved to Montclair and our son is turning 4. I have no idea what people usually do for birthday party places. I looked at the Little Gym but they seem really booked up and we were hoping for a mid to late November party. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!

Welcome to the area! You will be going to lots of parties, some better than others. Parents all try their very best, but sometimes certain factors are out of their control. Here's a list to get you started: PARTY PLACES NORTHERN NJ - Places to have Children's party in Northern NJ - Children's play places North Jersey NJ And don't forget ChuckECheese, too! Most of us have been there more times than we'd like to remember.

Thank you! Any places that were really good that you can remember (or bad that we should avoid)? We haven't been to anything out here yet so I'm finding it hard to judge.
Thanks again.

Well, I know the kids seem to have fun getting together doing all kinds of things and eating all the birthday basics. I don't know what interests your son, but there are sports-themed places (like soccer/gymnastics/miniature golf, etc.) or arts/crafts, movies, game centers. Check the Yelp reviews...they are generally accurate. Verona Park and Turtle Back Zoo may be options, too. The one place that I cannot recommend is FunTime Junction in Fairfield.

Welcome to town. My daughter has a November bday too, which is tricky. Turtle Back is great (we were there for a 5YO dbay last weekend), but weather may be an issue. My kids love funplex, but it's for older kids (bring plenty of tylenol and expect to come home with whatever illness is going around). The little Y on Glen Ridge Ave is definitely worth a look. They do a lot of little kid bdays there.
