Rentals in/around Secaucus (Rutherford, East Rutherford: apartments, day care, live)

I work in WTC and my wife works in Secaucus. I am looking at one bed apartment rentals in Secaucus. I had a look at Xchange apartments and considering this one but i am thinking they are more expense for me considering my kid daycare. Please advise me if you know of any other good apartments around this place(if i can get around $1500 to $1700). I am looking at something safe and nicer apartments and day care centers close by. Please advise me. I am currently staying in Central Jersey (Plainsboro, NJ) and trying to reduce my wife commute. Though my wife has DL but does not have much experience to drive the car in city traffic so thinking about closer to her office. Please let me know your suggestions. Thanks for your help in advance

In East Rutherford, you get better bang for your buck. My friends live there; they find the town very convenient to Manhatten and to stores, malls, etc., too. It's small and friendly, too. You may want to explore it as an option.
