Some parts of Montville (Morris co.) got power back on Wed, and other parts got it back last night. Keep checking the JCP&L page - FirstEnergy Storm Center
Parts of Franklin Park got its power back today (around 11 am). Route 27 between Henderson and Beekman still closed off though, due to fallen utility polls, so I'm sure there are some neighborhoods without power.
80-85% of Paramus looks like it has power as of 11 pm. (Fact-wise: About 1,000 some number of households have no power out of 20k)). In my zone though, we still don't have electricity. Saw a PSE&G van earlier today doing an inspection drive. (There was also one at 6 am.) We do not have downed wires or trees blocking the roads in this area. However, on the night of the storm, there were two transformers that went down on two streets that sandwiched our area into the dark.
Around 9:30ish pm, I saw a lot of electric wire crews going up and down my street like a lit up electric parade. So, I know they're hard at work even at this hour. My town is one of the "priority" towns so our electricity should be back by tomorrow (and hopefully, this gets more gas stations running). If not, our mayor would know right away. He lives within my zone so he'll know for sure if power is back on or not.
Anyone planning on going to the Garden State Plaza tomorrow, the food court will be open if you need to charge up devices.
