My wife and I are looking to move due to a job change in Livingston. We are interested in moving to Bergen County since we have several relatives living there. We are looking for a safe suburban town, with solid schools, and our budget for a single family house, 4 bedroom, 2 to 2.5 bathrooms is between $500,000 to 550,000. We wish to avoid any towns with reputations at risk for flooding (i.e. Little Ferry). Commute to NYC for work is not a consideration. Any suggestions on towns we should look into that would be within a one hour commute to Livingston? Waldwick is one town we are considering.Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you are still interested, let me know. To get to Livingston from where I live, I would take Garden Start Parkway to I-80 and it usually takes 45-1 hour. We have a nice area where you can keep your house door open for a month and nothing would happen. If anything, our neighbors, would notice the open doors and be worried. Our neighborhood is like a family and we are planning to sell. If you are still interested, let us know. We have four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Three bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. It's on top of a hill, flooding will never be an issue. Literally, never. I've lived here for over 19 years. Been here since I was 4 years old and I couldn't imagine being raised up anywhere else.
