After extensive research I've come to the conclusion that, for grade school, WW-P prepares their students slightly better than their counterparts in Princeton, but kids going to Princeton get the opportunity to know the kids of very knowledgeable people at the top of their fields (which gives the opportunity of a good recommendation letter or to maybe sit with them and talk about subjects of common interest)...

Please comment.

Thanks,

CM

Flip a coin. Both are excellent and can't go wrong with either choice.

I grew up in West Windsor and have currently settled there. I clearly have an affinity for the town.

Have you looked at the other schools in the area? Lawrence Prep, Peddie, The Hun, PDS offer better programs and also have great networking opportunities. The Lawrence Prep campus is amazing.

Going private is out of our budget in this area.

You can always have your child participate in extracurricular activities, especially in the Princeton area, if you want your kid(s) to meet others in that area.

First world problems...

Seriously, you're comparing two of the best school systems in the state, if not the country. Throw a dart.

And give the kids a chance to play in the mud and finger paint before you worry about whether they start networking with influential people.

If you're dealing with third-world problems in NJ, then you have problems. OP, ignore this poster.

As I stated earlier, I grew up in West Windsor. I also did my undergraduate degree in Princeton. I participate in a few local clubs for networking. If you put your kids in the the West Trenton Country Club, they will have an opportunity to build relationships with influential people in the Princeton area.

Thanks for the posts. I understand both systems are very good but why give 1000 if just as easily you can give 1000.01 right?

What extracurricular activities are good in the area? I've been looking into science seeds. Any feedback on them? Also, I've been having problems finding a chess club for kids in the area. Any recommendations?

Thanks

CM

Not sure how old your kids are but if they are younger, check out West Windsor-Plainsboro Community Ed.

http://www.thatpotteryplace.net/Wint...ogram_2012.pdf

They offer after school programs that include both science and chess.

You could also check with :: Welcome to ILM Learning Center :: on Princeton-Hightstown Rd in WW.

The Middle Schools and both High Schools have chess and science clubs.
